Five most common questions
1. Who books sailing holidays aboard PELEGRIN?
Typically, our guests are people who have already seen a lot of the world and are now looking for a “different holiday experience”. They are people who are generally sociable and adventurous, and who all have one thing in common: a love of water and / or watersports.
Average age of our guests:
- in the high season months (with exceptions): 25 - 40
- in the low season months (with exceptions): 40 – 65
- our oldest guest was a very sporty man of 87!
2. Do I need sailing skills or any knowledge of sailing?
NO, you don’t need to know anything about sailing! Our long-standing professional skipper Leja sails PELEGRIN – and he is responsible for every sailing trip. But if you want to, you can absolutely help out – such as with anchoring in a bay or during port manoeuvres.
3. Do I have to help on board PELEGRIN?
No! You are a guest and you are on holiday!
You don’t have to worry about shopping, cooking, washing up or cleaning. Instead, take the time to relax and recharge your body, mind and spirit.
We recommend:
Read our guest feedback in the: Online guestbook
4. Will I get seasick?
It’s very uncommon for our guests to feel seasick. Our “old lady” PELEGRIN can’t sail in wild winds and the Ionian Sea is usually very calm.
5. Is there privacy on board?
YES, definitely! Our two decks, each with space for 6-8 guests (per week), have plenty of space and offer privacy. Nobody has ever said it felt cramped. Guests have even asked us: “Where are the other guests? Am I alone on the ship?”
